| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Email address | Account login (passwordless — we email you a one-time code), billing, and support |
| Telegram user ID (optional) | Linking your subscription to your Telegram account for signal/insight delivery there |
| Payment details | Processed entirely by Stripe — we never see or store your card number. We store your Stripe customer/subscription ID to check your subscription status. |
| Subscription tier and status | Determining which signals and features you can access |
| Chart images and notes (if you use Iris) | Sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate your review; stored in our database so you can see your own history (unless you've disabled image storage — see below) |
| Iris outcome feedback ("played out" / "didn't") | Improving the relevance of future reviews for you (see the note on this when you submit feedback — it calibrates context, it does not retrain any model) |
| Device push notification token | Sending you a push notification when a new signal publishes |
| Referral code (if you signed up via a partner link) | Attributing your subscription to the partner who referred you |
We do not sell your personal data to anyone.
We keep your account data for as long as you have an active or recently-canceled subscription, plus a reasonable period for support and legal record-keeping. Iris chart images (if stored — see below) and responses are kept as part of your review history; you can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time (see Section 6).
By default, chart screenshots you upload for review are stored alongside Claude's response so you can see your own history. If you'd rather we not retain the images themselves, [DESCRIBE HOW A SUBSCRIBER CAN OPT OUT, IF YOU ADD A PER-SUBSCRIBER TOGGLE — currently this is a platform-wide setting (STORE_CHART_IMAGES) rather than a per-subscriber one; decide whether to expose it as a subscriber-facing setting before finalizing this section, since as currently built you'd need to change it for everyone, not just one subscriber who asks].
Some of our service providers (including Anthropic and Stripe) may process data outside the UK/EEA. Where this happens, transfers are intended to rely on an appropriate safeguard (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) as required under UK GDPR. [Confirm the specific mechanism against each provider's actual data processing agreement before publishing — this varies by provider and can change.]
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; ask us to correct or delete it; object to or restrict certain processing; and request a portable copy of your data. To exercise any of these, contact us at [SUPPORT/PRIVACY EMAIL]. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you believe we've mishandled your data.
[STATE YOUR ACTUAL COOKIE USAGE — as currently built, the landing page itself doesn't set tracking cookies, but confirm this against whatever analytics, if any, you add before publishing, and add a cookie banner if you do add analytics that requires consent under PECR.]
TheChartEye is not directed at anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date.
